SUBMISSION FROM GROUP 1

Group 1 relocated their take on the Town Hall to Stevenson Square in the Northern Quarter. The social function of the space will be restructured, in order to make educative activities – such as debates and lectures – more inclusive. Large plazas bookending the floating building and an informal, welcoming market create space under the hall. The form is inspired by the wings of Manchester’s worker bee motif.
